Management team:
Walter Rogers – President
Walter Rogers is the President of Baker Communications.
He has created and led businesses in 13 countries on
3 continents. He was a finalist for the 2000 and 2001
Texas eCommerce Awards, is Vice-Chairman for the Houston
Institute for Management Studies, is a guest instructor
on the topics of entrepreneurship, sales and marketing
at the University of Texas and has been interviewed
on ABC News Network.
He self-funded and lead two companies, Asset Optimization
Group and CertiSource, both of which achieved positive
cash flow within the first quarter of operations and
were later acquired. Asset Optimization group was acquired
by EMC (NASDAQ: EMC) in 2005 and CertiSource was acquired
by VerticalNet (NASDAQ:VERT) in 1999. Prior to founding
his first company, he was Vice President of Asia Pacific
Marketing for Marcam, a leading process ERP Software
Company. In his role at Marcam he was responsible for
all marketing and channel development initiatives in
11 countries ranging from Korea to Australia. Prior
to his role at Marcam he founded and led Market Solutions
Group, a consultancy specializing in the development
of integrated marketing strategies. Market Solutions
Group developed and rolled out sales performance improvement
strategies in the US and Asia for IBM, Marcam, Praxair
and other Fortune 1000 enterprises. Mr. Rogers is a
graduate of the University of Texas in Austin.
Peter Toohy – Chief
Operating Officer
Peter Toohy is a 40 year sales and marketing veteran.
He has held business center and manufacturing leadership
positions with the world’s largest chemical companies.
He led sales and marketing teams at Chevron’s
polyethylene resins business, Gulf’s Olefins &
Derivatives Division and Shell Chemical Company polystyrene
and polypropylene division. Mr Toohy is responsible
for day-to-day operations of iXsell and it’s parent,
Baker Communications. Mr Toohy is a graduate of MIT
and Harvard’s MBA program. Peter is married to
Jane Sullivan Toohy, and they are the proud parents
of three daughters and five grandchildren. Jane and
Peter are long-time residents of Houston, Texas
Lin Fisher – Vice President
of Implementation Services
Mr. Fisher has over 16 years of practical experience
in a broad range of revenue generating disciplines.
His core competencies range from sales, business development,
investment banking, strategy, organizational development,
process engineering and performance management consulting.
He has assisted numerous clients from start-up to Fortune
500 companies identify both strategic and tactical goals
that create measurable value in cost reduction and profit
generation.
Mr. Fisher has helped customers consistently exceeded
revenue targets. He is experienced in selling and leading
teams that sell, both tangibles and intangibles. His
years of sales experience have proven to be a valuable
asset to his clients when developing go-to-market strategies
for sales and marketing organizations. He has played
key roles in identifying and building effective business
development practices based on solid relationships with
strategic business partners. His ability to communicate
common goals into actionable terms has helped forge
many key B2B relationships.
In addition to his sales experience, Mr. Fisher has
also lead projects involving both Line and IT Operations
areas. He has personally played key roles in the execution
of several enterprise consolidation efforts and merger/acquisition
scenarios. In both cases, he was called upon to identify
best practice processes, knowledge stores, surviving/legacy
technologies and organizational structures. Mr. Fisher
has built several large multi-time zone contact centers
using CRM and eCRM applications. His responsibilities
have included the development and/or consolidation of
IT support processes, people, technologies and facilities.
With a background in sales and service, Mr. Fisher is
able to draw on those experiences to create a valuable
and effective operation. He has also lead and implemented
several SFR/SFA (Sales Force Reengineering & Automation)
projects.
